Maurizio Sarri and Pep Guardiola go head-to-head for the first time in the Premier League on Saturday, with Manchester City already 10 points ahead of Chelsea.

Chelsea have won just one of their last four in the league - including defeats by Tottenham and Wolves - with supporters beginning to pose questions about Sarri.

City were furious when Jorginho moved to Chelsea over the summer.

A deal had appeared likely before - in the words of City sources - Napoli 'bullied' the midfielder to choose Sarri, his former manager, over Guardiola.

Guardiola has been known to operate with a false nine and you would imagine that role to be filled by Raheem Sterling, who was even used as a central midfielder in Lyon.Managing to start Sterling, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez together offers City a different dimension in attack but would equally represent a big call.

The temptation for Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta might be to tuck in if City start with inverted wingers but Sarri will want to fight fire with fire and for the full backs to hold their positions where possible.

Allowing City's attackers to drift infield could well open up space if they are turned over.
