Has Paul Pogba ever been involved in more goals in a single season? What's the longest run a club has gone on without receiving a red card in the Premier League?

Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler has the answers to those questions and more in his weekly stats column, and don't forget to try his teaser in the video above.

Martin's starting stats

I was at Anfield on Sunday to see Jurgen Klopp's 200th game in charge of Liverpool (P200 W112 D51 L37). This was the 140th Premier League game and he has won 82 of those, drawing 38 and losing only 20. That's 284 points in 140 matches.

It was the mirror image of the infamous game five years ago which Liverpool lost 2-0. Mo Salah started that game for Chelsea, but on Sunday he scored his fifth goal against Chelsea in nine games. Two of those have been for Liverpool with the other three for Basel.

Sadio Mane took his total to 10 in his last 12 Premier League games and it was his first Liverpool goal against Chelsea, having scored two against them for Southampton. Gini Wijnaldum came on to make his 100th appearance for Liverpool.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 38 Premier League home games, winning 28 and drawing 10. That is the second longest run in Premier League history, overtaking Man City's 37 between 2010 and 2012. They are still a long way behind the all-time Premier League record of 86 set by Chelsea from 2004-2008. Liverpool's club record in the league is 63 from 1978-1980.

Liverpool confirmed they would finish in the top two with the win. They don't want to finish second, but they are in the top two!

Prolific Pogba?

Has Paul Pogba ever scored more league goals and got more assists in a single season? (Mark, Leamington Spa)

MARTIN SAYS: Paul Pogba has 13 Premier League goals this season, following his two penalties against West Ham, and that is the best return of his career.

He also has nine league assists so far, which is one fewer than last season and three short of the 12 he had in his final season at Juventus in 2015/16. He still has five games to go.

His goal involvement (goals + assists) is 22 for this season, which is his best ever. Prior to this season, his best return for goals and assists came for Juventus in the 2015/16 season when he scored eight times and provided 12 assists during the Serie A club's run to a domestic double.

Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson have set each other up for 11 Premier League goals this season. What is the Premier League record? (Barbara)

MARTIN SAYS: Fraser and Wilson - undoubtedly the stars of Ed's Army (older readers of the column will get my drift!!) - have set each other up 11 times this season, which is more than any other double act so far this term, and is almost a quarter of Bournemouth's league total of 49 goals.

And in fact, only one Premier League duo has combined for a goal more often in a single season.

Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson have combined for 11 Premier League goals

Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton set each other up 13 times when Blackburn Rovers won the league in the 1994/95 season - and that was a 42-match season.

Wilson and Fraser could yet match that record in the final four fixtures of this season and they have already equalled the record for a 38-game season, which was set by Shearer and Mike Newell for Blackburn in 1995/96.

Players Season Combined Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton 1994-95 13 Kevin Gallen and Les Ferdinand 1994-95 11 Alan Shearer and Mike Newell 1995-96 11 Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson 2018-19 11 Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore 1995-96 10 Dennis Bergkamp and Nicolas Anelka 1998-99 10 Chelsea's red missed?

Chelsea have gone 46 PL games without a red card. Is that a record? (Michael Barnes)

MARTIN SAYS: Tiemoue Bakayoko was the last Chelsea player to see red when he was sent off in their 4-1 defeat to Watford on Monday Night Football in February 2018.

Chelsea have not received a red card in 72 games in all competitions

However, this is a long way from the Premier League record.

Leeds United avoided a red card in 131 successive Premier League games stretching to September 1995 when John Pemberton was sent off in the 78th minute of a 3-1 home defeat to QPR.

Interestingly, Crystal Palace had gone 89 matches without a red card until Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off against Liverpool on the second Monday Night Football of this season.

Is Lucas Moura the first Brazilian to score a hat-trick in the Premier League? (Paula, St Albans)

MARTIN SAYS: Lucas Moura scored the first hat-trick in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Huddersfield on Saturday, but he's not the first Brazilian.

The first was Afonso Alves, who scored three times in Middlesbrough's 8-1 win over Manchester City on the final day of the 2007/08 season.

1:40 Lucas Moura celebrated scoring a hat-trick in Tottenham's 4-0 win against Huddersfield by bringing his son onto the pitch at full time. Lucas Moura celebrated scoring a hat-trick in Tottenham's 4-0 win against Huddersfield by bringing his son onto the pitch at full time.

In October 2008, Robinho's treble for Manchester City sank Stoke 3-0, and almost a decade later Roberto Firmino became the third Brazilian to score a Premier League hat-trick as Liverpool beat Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield last December.

So Lucas Moura is the fourth Brazilian hat-trick scorer overall - and the second this season.

Cairney ends long wait

How long ago was Tom Cairney's previous Premier League goal? (Leon, Ealing)

MARTIN SAYS: Cairney's goal against Everton on Saturday came nine years after his previous Premier League goal for Hull in March 2010 - and that goal also came against Everton!

Tom Cairney fires Fulham ahead against Everton on Saturday

The Fulham captain ended his wait after 3,324 days, which is well short of the record, set by Matt Jackson in November 2006, when he scored in Wigan's 3-2 win over Charlton.

Jackson had gone 4,935 days without finding the net in the league - over 13 years - dating back to Everton's 5-2 win over Manchester City in May 1993.

Many of these long gaps are caused because the players didn't play in the Premier League during the intervening time.
