Arsenal have appeared to accidentally confirm Eddie Nketiah’s loan move to Bristol City.

The 20-year-old returned to the Emirates this month when his season-long loan spell at Leeds United was cut short after starting just two league matches under Marcelo Bielsea.

A host of Championship clubs are eager to sign the striker up for the second-half of the season with Gunners coach Mikel Arteta eager for him to pick up more first-team experience away from north London.

"It didn't before and at the moment we have to think medium to long term with Eddie, we have to respect his evolution, his development, and we don't have to make decisions just based on two or three games I think."

The move is still to be officially confirmed by Arsenal and Bristol City.

A graphic which has since been taken down appeared on the Arsenal website on Monday night, picturing Nketiah alongside the Robins’ club badge with the caption ‘on loan'.

Arsenal will be without top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the next three games after his red card against Crystal Palace but Arteta has insisted that will not change the club’s plans for Nketiah to leave on loan.
