NORWICH V MANCHESTER CITY: Sergio Aguero just loves shooting down the Canaries but Teemu Pukki has proved he's scared of no-oneManchester City's Sergio Aguero has a brilliant record against Norwich In five games he's been involved in eight goals - scoring five and assisting threeLike Aguero, Norwich striker Teemu Pukki has five top-flight goals this seasonNorwich v Manchester City, Carrow Road, Saturday 5.30pm

This is a tale of two cities and the gulf between them is far greater than the 200 miles or four-and-a-bit hours the AA Route Planner would have you believe.

In one corner, we’ve got the place that gave us The Smiths, Stone Roses, New Order, the Rovers Return, the Manchester Ship Canal... and a team who have won four of the last eight Premier League title races.

At the other end, Alan Partridge, a fictional radio DJ and telly personality - played by a guy from Manchester - and a newly-promoted side who are favourites to go straight back down, Oh, and there’s also Teemu Pukki.

Sergio Aguero has five Premier League goals this season - and a hell of a record vs Norwich

The Finnish striker is keeping Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling company at the business end of the scoring charts and is Norwich’s best chance of springing a surprise.

He’s bagged seven goals in as many outings for club and country this season, including a hat-trick against Newcastle and strikes in losing efforts against the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Italy.

So while the men from the Etihad won’t scare this flying Finn, his team-mates will probably be slightly warier of their opponents on Saturday evening, especially the guys at the back trying to stop Aguero.

Teemu Pukki, a hat-trick hero against Newcastle, is the Canaries' best hope of an upset

Aguero's haul this term is a mighty impressive six goals in four appearances but his record against the Canaries is enough to make those yellow birds go green.

In five Premier League starts he’s been involved in eight goals – scoring five and assisting three.

Good luck, Norwich, you're going to need it.

Norwich head coach Daniel Farke has confirmed England Under-21 full-back Max Aarons is set for a spell on the sidelines through an ankle injury.

Aarons, 19, suffered the problem during the European Championship qualifier against Kosovo in Hull on Monday.

Farke said: 'He will be out until (after) the (next) international break due to an ankle injury, and his foot is still in a boot.'

The Canaries return to Premier League action at home against champions Manchester City on Sunday, but have been hit by a string of injury set-backs.

Farke also confirmed defender Ben Godfrey picked up a groin problem playing for England Under-21s, goalkeeper Tim Krul (elbow) is also doubtful while midfielders Mario Vrancic and Moritz Leitner are out with respective calf issues.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hinted Benjamin Mendy could return to the squad against Norwich on Saturday.

The France left-back has not played since April and has been beset by injury problems since joining the club in 2017.

Guardiola said: '[Mendy is good. His knee is reacting well so hopefully in the next few games. We want to be careful and sure when he starts to play.'

Ilkay Gundogan has recovered from a stomach bug and Gabriel Jesus is fit and in contention this weekend.

Guardiola also confirmed that central defender John Stones is fit but he is expecting Aymeric Laporte to be out for 'a long time, five or six months'.

On the threat Norwich will pose at Carrow Road, Pep Guardiola said: 'I am really impressed. They destroyed the Championship last season. They have good players and a good mentality.'

Man City's price is one for the big-hitters, 2/11 is as good as it gets while a home win is available at 18/1 with the draw 8/1.

During Norwich's last spell in the Premier League they won one of eight meetings and held out for a goalless draw twice. However, they were also spanked 7-0, 6-1 and 5-1 in the not-too-distant past.  The visitors to win with four or more total goals in the game at 4/5 is buying money while an Aguero hat-trick is 11/1.
