Real Madrid and Napoli have both been linked with ambitious summer transfer approaches for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

City's all-time leading goalscorer has another year to run on his current contract, and has often spoken about returning to boyhood club Independiente before he retires.

Aguero, 31, is yet to sign a contract extension at City, and now it has been claimed that Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Napoli are interested in signing him this summer.

However, CalcioNapoli24 say it is difficult to see Aguero leaving City for two reasons - the fact that City have no intention to sell him, and that he wants to continue under Pep Guardiola until his contract expires before returning to Argentina.

The report adds City are planning to sign 'one or two' midfielders and a right-sided player, so selling a striker is not in their transfer plan when the window opens.

Meanwhile, City will have to beat off competition from four clubs if they want to sign Barcelona's Nelson Semedo, reports say.

City had been linked with the Portuguese right-back, to potentially replace Joao Cancelo if he was to leave this summer. The move was rumoured to be part of a complex three-way deal that would see Barcelona sign Cancelo in exchange for Semedo, and then use Cancelo in part-exchange for Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.

But now Mundo Deportivo say Inter, Juventus, Bayern Munich and PSG are all interested in signing Semedo in their own right, to rival City.

Finally, Bayern Munich have reportedly entered the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

ESPN claim the Bundesliga side made enquiries over his availability if they fail to sign Leroy Sane.

Sancho is wanted by Manchester United, so the increased interest in the England winger could benefit City, who will be entitled to a percentage of the profit Dortmund make if he is sold.
