It is back to Premier League action for Man City after successfully making it through to the FA Cup semi-final.

A 2-0 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park saw Pep Guardiola’s men bounce back after the disappointment of losing to Chelsea last week - a result which handed Liverpool their first Premier League title.

And it just so happens that the Reds are the next visitors to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League when they arrive to take on City on Thursday evening.

With the league wrapped up, Jurgen Klopp could decide to make changes for the game, although some records are still on for Liverpool which the team will be determined to reach.

The Reds were crowned as Premier League Champions for the first time in their history last week after City failed to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It is the earliest point in a season that a team has clinched the title, with tradition meaning that they will be given a guard of honour before their remaining games - starting with the match at the Etihad.
