Former Manchester City player Brahim Diaz continues to shine in Spain following his move to Real Madrid in January.

City reluctantly let the 19-year-old go in January with the interest from the Spanish giants being clear along with the inability to guarantee Diaz first team football given the level of competition presented by Riyad Mahrez, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.

He has however shown enough thus far to suggest he may have a chance in the coming seasons, providing his development continues on the same trajectory.

Although seven goals in 15 appearances looks satisfactory but unsurprising for a striker, a further delve into that record illustrates a more impressive record.

On Sunday afternoon, he put in a fine display in a 3-1 win against Real Sociedad and capped off his good performance with a goal.

Right now though, the champions have a plethora of talent at their disposal, but who is coming through their ranks at Under-23 level that may be destined to break into Pep Guardiola’s side and potentially fill the void left by Diaz in January?

The forward arrived at City in January 2017 at just 15 years old from Valencia.
