Since the start of December Manchester City have rediscovered their attacking mojo.

Just as Benjamin Mendy was when he first signed for City, Cancelo could emerge as a weapon in attack for the Blues, capable of adding another dimension to their play down the right-hand side.

In the last 12 games they've plundered 37 goals and while that average of just over three a game wasn't enough to avoid defeats to Manchester United and Wolves, it has signalled a welcome return to seeing the Blues at their blistering best in attack.

"This player we bought him for many years, not for six months, but what happens happens.

Cancelo showed on Sunday that he has a place in this squad.

The Portuguese full-back has always had plenty of attacking ability in his game, although it's rarely been seen to its full potential at the Etihad.

Walker's record of four assists in 23 games this season is a significant improvement on last year, when he created just one goal in 52 games.
