Man City will get their defence of the FA Cup underway against Port Vale at home.

All of the FA Cup third round games will kick off one minute later than usual as part of the mental health campaign Heads Up.

The FA Cup may prove to be a welcome distraction for City, who have struggled to reach the heights of last season so far in this campaign and are 11 points off the top of the table.

City have benefited from draws against lower league opposition in recent years and their luck continued on Monday night as they drew the 9th placed team in League Two.

“Whilst delaying kick-off times by 60 seconds is a simple idea, it provides a powerful platform for us and our Heads Up charity partners to deliver a really important message on mental health," Mark Bullingham the FA's chief executive said.

Pep Guardiola's side have joined the competition in the third round along with the rest of the Premier League and clubs from the Championship.

The draw was held tonight at the Etihad Stadium, with former defender Micah Richards joining Arsenal legend Tony Adams in drawing the games.
