Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in Juventus striker Paulo Dybala, according to reports in Italy.

25-year-old Dybala has seven goals and six assists for Juventus this season, and if City really are interested in a new striker, it could indicate their plans for life after Sergio Aguero.

Corriere dello Sport, via SportWitness, say Guardiola is an admirer of the Argentine striker, and even sent City CEO Ferran Soriano to scout him last month.

Meanwhile, City captain Vincent Kompany is close to signing a one-year contract on reduced wages, according to reports.

Dybala played the full 90 minutes as Juventus won 2-1.

The report claims Sorriano saw Juventus play Lazio in January on the instruction of Guardiola.

The defender is expected to agree a wage cut as part of the deal, the report says.
