It is almost two years since Jadon Sancho last played a club fixture on English soil and it's fair to say the youngster's career has been transformed in the interim.

For it was that summer that Sancho took the brave leap to German club Borussia Dortmund and the teenager's stock has soared ever since.

Sancho returns to London with Dortmund as they take on Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday evening and is very much talk of the town.

With the full faith of manager Lucien Favre, Sancho has taken the Bundesliga and the Champions League by storm, scoring eight times and contributing 13 assists.

That excellent form also led to a first England call-up, with Sancho making his debut from the bench in the UEFA Nations League match away to Croatia back in October.

It seemed hard to believe in the aftermath of a five-goal hiding, but Sancho has surpassed many of the talented Chelsea players he came up against.

A team-mate of Sancho's that night, Brahim Diaz, has since left City for Real Madrid in a deal worth £15m.If Sancho performs well in front of an English audience on Wednesday night, there will be plenty more of his young countrymen thinking maybe they should follow his lead..
