Man City have been 'put off by Leicester's £90m price tag' for defender Harry Maguire, according to reports.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Leicester's 'valuation of Maguire has put a hold on the defender's proposed transfer to City.'

Elsewhere, Kyle Walker is 'set to sign a two-year contract extension' at City, according to reports.

City are in the market for a new centre-back this summer following the departure of captain Vincent Kompany for Anderlecht and the uncertainty surrounding the future of Nicolas Otamendi.

It's claimed that 'City want to sign Cancelo as a replacement for Danilo' should the Brazilian leave this summer.

Pep Guardiola's side has been linked with Ajax teenage sensation Matthijs de Ligt but it now appears that Leicester's Maguire is the number one target, though the asking price may be a stumbling block as well as competition from neighbours Manchester United.

The new contract comes despite City's pursuit of Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo, who would be a direct competitor for Walker's position.
