Gary Neville believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should rest Manchester United's key players for their clash against Manchester City later this month in order to boost their chances of securing a top-four spot.

After their Champions League tie against Barcelona on Tuesday evening, United are next in action against Everton on Sunday before they host City at Old Trafford the following Wednesday.

Solskjaer's side also have Chelsea left to play and Neville believes the United manager should have his key players fully fit for that crucial clash against Maurizio Sarri's side on April 28.

'Sunday away to Everton is the most winnable of the games,' Neville told Sky Sports.

'If they beat City but lose to Chelsea, they are still in and around the top four.

'So if they were to win against Everton on Sunday, the game to change players around a bit would be the City game.

'That's not them going into the City game thinking United can lose the game, they have to win.
