Pep Guardiola sent one of his most trusted colleagues to watch Juventus star Paulo Dybala in action last month, Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports.

And it wasn’t just any colleague but Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano, who was reportedly in attendance at the Stadio Olimpico for Juventus’ 2-1 win over Lazio on January 27th.

It is claimed that 25-year-old attacker Dybala was the reason for Soriano’s presence and that it signifies a clear interest from Manchester City in signing the Argentine.

A bid of between €100 million and €120 million would be needed to tempt Juventus into selling Dybala, a player who has been commonly linked with City and said back in 2015 that he’d love to play for the club.

While Dybala is not a pure striker of the Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus ilk, it is possible Pep Guardiola could utilise him in a forward role if he did bring in the player.

Dybala has been fairly goal shy in Serie A this season with 2 goals in 17 starts, but in the UEFA Champions League he has found the net 5 times in 4 starts.
