David Moyes believes that a team made up of the best Premier League players wouldn’t beat Manchester City to the league title.

"I was trying to think the other day if you could make a Premier League team up from all the sides that could topple Man City to win the league, and I think it would be very tough (to beat City),” he explained on talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show.



The former Manchester United boss made the comments on the back of Jose Mourinho’s claims that only four teams could win the Premier League title.

Asked how many teams had a chance of winning the Premier League, Mourinho told Sky Sports Super Sunday: “Four.

With that in mind, Moyes has backed up the comments of the fellow Red Devils' boss and argued that a team made up from the rest of the division wouldn’t beat City to the title.

Such an imperious result on the opening day has sent a message out to the rest of the division, particularly when you consider Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo were all left on the bench by Guardiola.
