Raheem Sterling is better than Liverpool star Mohamed Salah at the moment according to former Chelsea, Celtic and Scotland midfielder Craig Burley.

Salah has 5 more goals than Raheem in the Premier League this season, while Sterling has a couple more assists than the Egyptian superstar, but ESPN pundit Burley believes the England winger is a better player right now.

It’s a big call by the Scot, but he explained his reasoning, pointing to how complete a player Sterling, who arrived from Liverpool in 2015, has become under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola.

“I would say at the moment Sterling [is better than Salah],” Burley said.

“Sterling has taken his game to another level.

Everything: touch, strength, vision, he really has.” Since the beginning of 2019, Salah has scored 4 goals in 7 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, while Sterling struck the same amount of goals in 8 appearances, while also contributing 2 assists – one of them against Liverpool in City’s 2-1 win at the beginning of January.
